Shoes, shoes, shoes – we'd like to have them ALL! But just a minute – what are the names of the different models? What's special about them? And what should you wear with them? Here are the answers!

Ballerinas

For hour-long shopping!

Typical shape: Flat with low cut instep
Comfortable? Absolutely!
Look best with: Capri trousers and drainpipe jeans.
Never wear with: Miniskirts!
Special feature:They originate from real ballet shoes.

Platform Shoes

For every occasion!

Typical shape: It's got a bit of everything - from boot to low shoe to sandal - but the sole has to be at least 3 cm high at the FRONT.
Comfortable? Always!
Look best with: Casual flares, capri trousers and skirts.
Never wear with: Elegant evening dress.
Special feature: Sometimes they're in, then out. Somehow it changes all the time. So just wear them when you feel like it!

Sneakers

For sporty moments!

Typical shape: Almost the same as a gym shoe, but not as functional.
Comfortable? Obviously!
Look best with: Sporty clothes - jeans, long or short, casual skirts.Never wear with: elegant skirts or drainpipes!
Special feature: Please don't wear them when you do sport. They're fashion shoes!

Court Shoes

For cool appearances!

Typical shape: Closed back half shoe with a heel of at least 3 cm. Without fastening, strap, buckle or any other decoration!
Comfortable? Only for a certain amount of time.
Looks best with: Elegant skirts and dresses, but also jazz up jeans, tight trousers, baggies and capris!
Never wear with: Long skirt.
Special feature: There are lots of variations!

For important dates!
They're cut like court shoes - but have an open toe. They're also called flamenco pumps.

Stilettos

For the red carpet!
They're cut like court shoes - but have a stiletto heel and a pointed toe. They are the classic high-heeled shoe.

Slingbacks

For romantic evenings!
They're cut like court shoes (although officially they aren't court shoes!) and they are fastened with a strap around the heel.

By the way: High-heels are not court shoes!

High-heels do not have a typical shoe or heel shape. ALL shoes with heels of at least 10 cm are called high-heels.

Wedges

For hot summer parties!

Typical shape: Open low shoe with wedge heel.
Comfortable? More than you'd think!
Look best with: Leggings, combined with short dress.
Never wear with: Long trousers or skirts, as then the eye-catching heels can't be seen!

Mules

For a girls' date at the ice-cream parlour!

Typical shape: Low backless shoe with heel.
Comfortable? Mostly.
Look best with: Skirts, dresses and capris.
Never wear with: Socks!
Special feature: Classic clogs (wooden shoes) are also mules!

Ankle Boots

For cold days!

Typical shape: Boots with different heel shapes that extend up to the ankle.
Comfortable? Depends how high the heels are ...
Look best with: Drainpipes, and short skirts with trendy tights.
Never wear with: Tucked in trouser legs!
Special feature: Ankle boots with stiletto heels are particularly in!

Flip-Flops

For lovely hours by the sea!

Typical shape: Flat sandals with Y-shaped strap
Comfortable? Of course!
Look best with: Summery, casual clothes - long and short skirts, dresses, shorts.
Never wear with: Elegant evening dress or wintery trousers.
Special feature: They are very light and usually inexpensive! And for that reason a lot of girls have a pair flip-flops to match each summer outfit in their wardrobe.

So grey is boring?!

Lots of people think grey is boring, but really it's totally in!



 You can see grey clothing without end on the catwalks of the world. Whether shirts, pullovers, trousers, jackets, or shoes - they're all grey! And rightly so! This colour is simply terrific and is easy to combine. It doesn't matter whether you  wear white, black, or bright colours like pink or mint with it, everything goes. And different shades of grey look good together, too.

Do you want hair like the stars'

No problem! With curling iron, comb, clips, and a little practice you can look like some A-list celebs


Miley's soft waves
Make a parting in the middle of your head and curl strands of your hair using curling tongs. Let the soft waves cool - and don't comb them any more! Twirl the side hair above your ears backwards and pin it with a clip that matches your hair colour. It's okay to let a couple of strands hang down. Keep them in place with a little shiny hair wax. Important: Your hairstyle shouldn't be fixed too tightly.

Spread some styling mousse in your hair so that your updo holds better. Make a deep side parting with a tail comb. Now divide your hair into strands, twist them individually together, and pin them loosely on your head. Or on the back of your head. (If you like, you can even use a large hairclip!). Finally, pin your fringe to the side. Tip: Use hairpins that match your hair colour, so that they are almost invisible.

Divide your hair into strands, spray heat protection on each one and curl around tongs. Wait for a short while, uncurl and allow to cool. Make a parting, twist the hair above your ear and pin back with hairpins. Now curl all you hair loosely on one side. Fix the complete length with hairpins. Let this side-ponytail fall loosely over your shoulder.

For this look you need to backcomb the front part of your hair or at least your fringe. Then lay the resulting quiff over the back of your head and smooth down the hair with your hand. Pull the rest of your hair back to make a side ponytail, and fix it with a hair tie. Finally spray it all with hairspray so that your hairstyle will last longer.

Which hairstyle matches your face shape?

Round face:
If you have a round face, you must make sure that your side hair is not too thick or it will make your face look even rounder. Hair that ends just above the shoulder is ideal as it is easy to style. A layered hairstyle is also a good choice, but the layers need to be in the top hair and not the sides. 

Oval face:
If your face is this shape, every style suits you. From long to short ...

Narrow face:
With this shape you need to be careful that your hair is not too thin or too thick, or it will make your head look too small.  Chin-length styles are ideal.

Who doesn't dream of having lovely big eyes? This is what to do!


If you carefully apply white kajal to the inside rim of your eyelashes, your eyes will look much bigger and clearer. Don't worry, the white line won't be visible - but it will have a big effect. Just try it out! 

Patrick Dempsey Rescues Teen From Car Crash!

"Grey's Anatomy" star Patrick Dempsey doesn't just save lives on TV, now he's a hero in the real world too! Patrick saved a young driver who crashed their car in Malibu earlier this week. The teenager lost control of his car and crashed into Patrick's front yard. 

A source reveals that Patrick rushed to the car with a first aid kit and fire extinguisher in hand. Such a hero! He helped the boy getting out from the car before he called 911. Luckily, no one was seriously injured in the accident. Can you imagine getting rescued by Dr McDreamy?! Sounds like a dream to us!

Do you wear glasses?

  No problem! People who wear glasses can, of course, wear make-up too. But what suits whom?  

For short-sighted people:
Your glasses make your eyes look smaller, so don't worry about putting on too much mascara. Spread your eye shadow over the whole lid up to the arch of your eye brow. Light shades of eye shadow are best. If you want, add some eye-liner aswell,  It really brings out your eyes!                         

For far-sighted people:

Dark colours, like brown or blue, suit you best as your glasses make your eyes look bigger. Only apply eye shadow to the bottom part of your lid, and a little bit above, as your eyes will otherwise look unnaturally big.

We all know that having cool jeans is important. But sometimes we've got to make do with what we've got. So how can we do it?

Step 1: Get some cool iron on designs, 2 rolls of ribbon that go with these and some small, sparkly keyrings.
Step 2: Iron the designs onto the front pockets of your jeans.
Step 3: Sew a piece from each roll of ribbon down the side of both legs.
Step 4: Clip the keyrings onto the belt loops of your jeans.
Step 5: Show off your awesome jeans!

Tip: If your jeans are frayed at the bottom then it really completes the look. Wear with a black jacket.

Nicki Minaj Returns To Twitter A Week After Quitting

The 'Super Bass' rapper has reactivated her Twitter account but has yet to write an update on the site

Nicki Minaj has reopened her official Twitter account just over a week after quitting the popular social networking site.

The 'Starships' singer closed her account last week (15th April) shortly after a dispute with a fan website that had been leaking tracks from her new album 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' ahead of its release.

However, last night (24th April) Nicki's official Twitter account was reopened, with her 12 million followers are down to just under two million at present, although the'Beez In The Trap' rapper has yet to post a message since her return.

Nicki Minaj also confirmed that the music video for her current single'Starships' is almost ready to go and should premiere before the end of the week.

Bags: Boring To Beautiful!

"Mumm!! can you gimmi money for a new designer bag?? My one's boring "
'No' might be the answer sometimes, and I know - we NEED bags! They're essential. So, to avoid having to throw a tantrum, possibly lower your status, cry and ruin your make up (unless waterproof), you could always make one!...

Step 1: Take your bag out.

Step 2: Buy some cool badges, several short lengths of chain, and some squares of your favourite colour cloth(optional)

(Step 3: Take some thread, a different colour to the cloth, and sew on the cloth in random ways. Patterned cloth is best.)

Step 4: Take the chain and fix it to your bag's handle. (Poke a hole in the fabric with scissors, and pull apart the link at the end of the chain. Fix this into the hole then close up the link. Do the same to the other side.)

Step 5: Pin on the badges.

Step 6: Show off you One Of A Kind Bag!!

The Hunger Games

'The Hunger Games' is a science fiction/adventure story, it has been rated 3 star. I've heard that it's really good, and i've seen a bit of it, and it deserves more!! It's rated a PG-13 in America, but a 12 in the UK. (If you're used to violence and stuff, and you look old enough, you'll be OK to sneak in!)
Primrose Everdeen (Willow Shields) is chosen as the female tribute from District 12. To save her sister from almost certain death, 16-year old Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) volunteers to take Primrose's place. She is accompanied on the journey to the Capitol by her male counterpart, Peeta (Josh Hutcherson). 
Once there, she trains with Haymitch Abernathy (Woody Harrelson), a bitter drunk who won the games more than 20 years earlier. She receives moral support and image advice from Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks) and Cinna (Lennie Kravitz). Her boldness and showmanship make her an immediate popular favorite - something that angers President Snow (Donald Sutherland) while delighting the game's organizer (Wes Bentley) and the on-air commentator (Stanley Tucci). 
When the games begin, Katniss uses Haymitch's advice to survive the opening "bloodbath," then pretends to share a romance with Peeta to enhance her image. In the end, however, she develops genuine feelings for him, which become a potential problem since, in order for her to win, he must die.

Is Katy Perry In Love With Another Rocker?

Katy Perry has really gone into the dating jungle after her divorce from Russel Brand, and it looks like she has fallen for yet another rocker! She went on the Coachella Arts & Music Festival last weekend to spend some time with a new apparent boyfriend - Florence + The Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd!
 
They were spotted holding each others hands and a source explains: "Backstage at the Artist Lounge at Coachella last weekend, Katy kept saying her boyfriend was the guitar player for Florence + the Machine. She and a bunch of friends were supposed to go see Dr. Dre together, but Katy said she was waiting to watch her boyfriend perform!"

 

Hmm, a new fling? It will be interesting to see how this relationship develops!

Street dance 2

The movie was rated 3 stars by critics and I think they

were right. It wasn't the best movie i've ever seen but it wasnt the

worst so 3 stars is good. Starring George Sampson (hehe) and the breakdance group flawless, the movie was all about trying to win a

dance battle competition. (bit of a boring plot but oh well).

The movie was also in 3d but i personally don't see the piont of it in 3d

cos there was nothing to put in 3d if u follow me. But the movie was

really good choreography wise, with amazing dancing from most of the

cast, apart from the Latin bit, that was a drag. In the end when it

all goes wrong, it is almost immediately put right, which is quite

lame. The backing music was really good, with loads of current music,

unlike some movies. The movie overall was ok, it might have been better

if George sampson was in it more, personally and if the movie was more

dramatic. If they do make a streetdance 3, i don't see how they can make one, but if they do, then it better be a lot better then number 2 then otherwise all their fans (if any left) would have disappeared. So basically good cast, good dancing, ok movie.
